A Poultry Shrinkbag Blog?

Vintage Women Feeding Chickens

Well, why not?

I've been blogging since 2005. My first blog was The Deliberate Agrarian, which I wrote for 11 years. I had a thousand e-mail subscribers and a few million page views there when, to everyone's surprise, I decided to start blogging anew at Upland. I blogged there for only a couple years.

Then, most recently, I have launched The Deliberate Agrarian 2.0. I describe my Deliberate Agrarian blog as "one man's ruminations about faith, family, and livin' the good life." I hope you'll check it out sometime.

But a blog about poultry shrink bags? Hmmmmm. Is there anything to discuss, at length, about shrink bags for chickens and turkeys (and other fowls)? I mean, how many times can I write about how amazing our shrink bags for poultry are? Besides that, who would want to read blog essays about nothing more than awesome bags for packaging your fresh, homegrown poultry?

Obviously, no one would. And it would be a futile, hellish task for me as the writer to attempt such a thing. That being the case, I will be blogging here about various poultry-related topics that people (like you) who raise poultry might be interested in reading.

For example, I will tell you about the Whizbang Chicken Plucker I developed back in 1999. After all, my Whizbang Plucker and the poultry shrinkbags we sell on this web site go hand-in-hand.

And I have a good collection of vintage poultry information, gathered from old almanacs and agricultural journals, to share here. The Old Timers were serious about their poultry.

So, this could be fun.

Stay Tuned....
